regarding our fire, we lost one wall of our pyramid tent. at least now, you will have national tv advertisment to the quality of your tents. the entire field around us was on fire, with flames over the top of the tent and crawling under. i am convinced that if i was in my old tent, it would have gone up in no time. fortunately the canvas held back the flames until the fire brigade got there. pop's had some 2nd degree burns and a little smoke inhaled, but at least the powder (4lbs) and 20lbs propane didn't go off.

because of that fire, we will be on The Learning Channel's "Trauma: Life in the E.R." season premier. and all this on the first day of rendezvous. there where several other fires that week, but fortunatly, no-one else was hurt or lost anything.

thanks to everyones quick actions, we were able to come back the next day, fix up our camp, and we even had all of our beer safe!
